Apple iPad Pro

The mobility management vendor Good Technology has found Apple’s iPads the most-used tablet line, both generally and in the workplace. The iPad has significantly grown since its arrival in 2010. In early October, Apple presented its new iPad Pro, which has the biggest display in the history of iOS devices – 12.9 inches. iPad Pro, described by Apple CEO Tim Cook as the “most capable and powerful”, is powered by a 64-bit A9X chip with a built-in M9 motion coprocessor. Also, new in the iPad Pro is its four speaker audio system. There is an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. To expand the flexibility of the iPad Pro and increase its usefulness for both creativity and productivity based tasks, Apple designed two accessories to go with it: the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard. The Apple Pencil is a pressure-sensitive stylus with multiple sensors able to detect position, force and tilt. Smart Keyboard can connect to the iPad Pro through the tablet’s new Smart Connector, a port that’s able to provide both data and power. iPad Pro should hit shelves in November. The price of a 32GB device is $800, and 128GB will sell for $950. Set aside another $170 for the keyboard and $100 for the Pencil.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4

Microsoft officially unveiled the Surface Pro 4 at its October 6th launch event in New York, confirming the new hybrid device’s release date as October 26. A Surface Pro 4 with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of memory and 256GB of storage costs $1,299. It also has a new Surface Pen and revamped Type Cover with a larger precision glass trackpad and integrated backlit keyboard. At the event, Microsoft announced that the Surface Pro 4 is actually 30% faster than the Surface Pro 3 and 50% faster than its direct competitor – the MacBook Air. The 12.3-inch tablet has a 267-ppi display with PixelGlass technology.

HP ENVY 8 Note

On October 7, HP announced the HP ENVY 8 Note, a tablet-first device that offers customers unprecedented mobile productivity with a 10 inch keyboard and intuitive note-taking capabilities. The tablet comes outfitted with a 1.44 GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor, plus 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. On the camera front, it also has a 5-megapixel rear shooter and 2MP front-facing webcam. The HP Envy 8 Note also includes HP Instant Note, an intuitive software experience to complement the stylus that comes with the tablet. 10-inch HP Envy Note Keyboard Folio is a full-sized keyboard, one-piece clickpad, and a slot on its surface to hold the Envy 8 Note in landscape or portrait mode. Starting price for the tablet and stylus is $329. The tablet, stylus and keyboard folio will sell for $429.
